Yellow Jackets Remain Undefeated at 13 - 0

The Yellow Jackets completed a weekend sweep in Nashville against Michigan State and Davenport. Against Michigan State, Tech found themselves in a hole early, but with some gritty tough play all over the field, the Jackets were able to comeback and get the victory 13-9.  Tech was lead by six points from Tim Peterson, and three each from Matt Kecicki, Conrad McEvoy, and Devin Raun.  The Jackets' comeback was fueled by tough ground balls and hustle plays in the middle of the field.  On the defensive end, Tech got particularly strong play from Andrew Yi and Zeke Day among others.

There would be no time to bask in the victory over the defending national champions as a date with Davenport loomed the next day.  Davenport with their hard nosed and slightly unconventional style of play had given the Jackets fits in their previous match-up two years ago.  Tech scored the opening two goals of the game, but the Panthers tied the game and the game would follow this pattern throughout with Tech beginning to get a little breathing room before the Panthers would capitalize on a sloppy play and close the gap.  The game  had a lightning delay in the middle just before halftime.  Despite the sloppy play, Tech did show just enough glimpses of the style of play that they has been their hallmark this season to get the win.  Late goals from Jack Darcy and Devin Raun provided the final margin of 13-11.

Next the Jackets close out the regular season against the University of Georgia at Marist School.  The winner of the game will win the southwest region of the SELC.
