The Jackets tied the game again before the Volunteers once again took the lead 3-2. Freshman Jake Kotzian scored to tie the game with thirty seconds left in the second quarter.
The pattern repeated itself to start the second half as the Volunteers opened the scoring in the third quarter. At that point the Jackets managed to steady themselves. The Jackets were able convert on the looks they created as the game wore on and closed the game on a 7-1 run to win 10-5. The Jackets will travel to the University of South Carolina for their next game on Friday March 18.
