Jackets Punish Commodores

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets opened their SELC North schedule on the road against the Vanderbilt Commodores.  The Jackets, playing 24 hours after their win over #9 Boston College, did not take long to take control of the game.  The Jackets won the opening faceoff and created multiple good opportunities on their opening possession, but could not find the back of the net.  Brooks Baro scored the first goal of the game with 11:31 remaining in the first quarter.  The Jackets added four more goals including two goals from Pierce Quarles within five seconds to take a 5-0 lead after the first quarter.  Tech lead 9-0 at halftime and was able to cruise to a 17-2 victory.  The Jackets were able to play their entire roster and several players earned their first career points for the Yellow Jackets.  Tech will continue their region schedule next week when they welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide to the flats.
