Tech Defeats Florida State to Play in MCLA National Tournament Final Four

Jackets subdue the stubborn Seminoles for third time this season to reach a historic 18 wins on the season and enter the MCLA Final Four for the third time in four years.

The Yellow Jacket faceoff duo of Tyler Harper and Mike Pullen combined to win 18-of-22 faceoffs, helping Georgia Tech build an early bulge and fend off Florida State, 12-7. The win sends Tech to the national semifinals for the third time in the last four years.

Devin Raun scored two of his four goals in the opening period when the Ramblin' Wreck took a 5-2 lead that ultimately turned out to be the decisive run. Florida State stayed very close the rest of the way, but could not make up that initial deficit, much of it do to Tech's faceoff prowess.

Conrad McEvoy had three goals and two assists in the winning effort while Gino Pagliaro was credited with seven saves.
