Behind stingy defense and a quick strike offense Georgia Tech was able to defeat #16 Florida State 14-6 at home. The first half was defined by runs, the Jackets scored three quick goals to start the game followed by five straight from the Seminoles to take a 5-3 lead. Tech swarmed back to take a 7-5 halftime lead. The teams traded two goals early int the third quarter, but the rest of the night belonged to the white and gold. Tech's defense held Florida State scoreless over the last 27:00 minutes of the game and continued to score building their lead to the final score of 14-6.
