Wreck Rolls Over Gators in Home Opener!

The Yellow Jackets opened their home schedule against the Florida Gators in front of a raucous crowd on a rainy night.  The Gators came into the game undefeated, but the Jackets were looking to maintain control of their home turf.  The Gators were able to get on the board first early in the first quarter.  The Yellow Jackets responded on the very next possession on freshman Sam Eck's first career goal.  The Yellow Jackets took control from that point and never looked back on their way to a 22-7 victory.  Tech assisted on 14 of their 22 goals in the win.  Offensively Tim Peterson and Conrad McEvoy lead the way with 9 and 10 points respectively.  Tyler Harper and Mike Pullen split the face off duties and were dominant for Tech. The Jackets defense swarmed all night not allowing the visitors any space to operate lead by Brian Duffy keeping the reigning MCLA player of the week off the score sheet as well as strong play from their short sticks.  Devan Knapp and Jack Topping helped Tech control the middle of the field leading to several long stretches of possession.
