The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets traveled to Mooresville, North Carolina to play the Liberty Flames. On a warm and sunny afternoon, the Yellow Jackets and Flames faced off in a top five MCLA matchup. The Flames scored the opening two goals of the game before Sam Eck scored two straight to tie the game. The Flames then scored the next three goals. Liberty eventually built a 9-4 halftime lead. The Jacket defense tightened up in the second half allowing only three goals, but the Yellow Jacket offense never could shake themselves out of their funk and lost 12-9.
The Jackets will next face the Kennesaw State Owls
