Jackets Overcome Cold Start To Tame Tigers

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets opened the season on the road against the Auburn Tigers on a cold clear night.  The Jackets started slow with the first half marred by turnovers and tentative play trailing 6-4 at halftime.  Tech found their footing in the second half tying the game off of back to back goals from Sam Eck who finished with five goals.  Pierce Quarles finished with two goals and three assists and Joseph Rose finished with three goals while Brooks Baro scored two goals and assisted on another.  The defense tightened up in the second half behind Kevin Lewis and Hudson Higgins limiting Auburn to four second half goals.  The Jackets closed the game with a 13-10 win.

Tech will face the Vanderbilt Commodores at home on February 5.
