Jackets Stifle Dukes

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Men's Lacrosse Team faced off against MCLA newcomers James Madison.  The Dukes joined the MCLA with a strong history of success in the NCLL and entered Sunday's contest on heels of a dominant win over Vanderbilt the day before.  The Jackets got the scoring started with a goal from Sam Eck just over a minute into the game.  The first quarter was a back and forth affair that ended with Tech up 3-2.  The Yellow Jackets sprung to life in the second quarter to take an 8-3 lead at the half.  The Ramblin' Wreck built on their strong second quarter having found their offensive groove and continued to put the clamps on the Dukes.  The Jackets lead 14-5 at the end of the third quarter and cruised to a 15-6 win.  The win was highlighted by five goals each from Brooks Baro and Sam Eck and a dominant showing from Aaron Piszczek at faceoff.  The Tech defense was stout throughout the game thanks to strong collaborative team play.  Tech will next face the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs at home on February 25.
