Jackets Sink Commodores

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets took on the Vanderbilt Commodores in a SELC North region game on Friday night.  On a chilly Roe Stamps Field the Jackets were statistically dominant and were able to overcome a cold shooting night to get the win.  Tech struck on their first shot of the game from freshman Nick Eliacin, then continued to pepper the Vanderbilt goalie with shots, but he was up to the task and the Jackets struggled to get their aim dialed in.  The Vanderbilt goalie turned the Jackets away numerous times, with 18 saves on the game, but the Jackets were able to overwhelm the Commodores with a tidal wave of shots and got the win 11-3.  Jake Kotzian and Ian Bugbee both notched their first career goals.  The Jackets will next face the Dukes of James Madison University on Sunday at 1pm at home.
