Jackets Fall to Cougars in Semi-Finals

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets faced off against the Brigham Young University Cougars in the semi-finals of the 2021 MCLA Invitational.  The game was a rematch of a contest between the two teams played at Roe Stamps Field in 2020.  The Jackets got the best of the Cougars in that game, but today was a different story.  The Cougars took the early lead on a transition goal following a save on the Jackets' first shot of the game.  That was the beginning of a 4 goal run by the Cougars.  The Jackets eventually found their footing and clawed their way back into the game.The Cougars held a heavy advantage in possession and were able to keep the Jackets at bay.  Tech closed the gap to one goal several times, but the Cougars were able to respond each time and build the lead back.  The Jackets fought until the end, but could not overcome the deficit and fell by a final score of 19-15.  

Jackets season ends with an 8-1 Record. BYU went on to win the MCLA Invitational final by dominating Chapman 16-9, outscoring the Panthers 14-5 down the stretch.
