Georgia Tech faced the Auburn Tigers on Saturday and gutted out a tough win. The Jackets got on the board first and took a 3-1 lead early. Auburn, under former Tech assistant J.J. Arminio was undaunted and fought back against the Jackets taking an 8-6 lead into the halftime break. Tech generated numerous shots but the Jackets were unable to finish them. Auburn scored a quick goal early in the third quarter to take a three goal lead. Devin Raun immediately answered with a goal of his own. Tech slowly fought their way back before finally retaking the lead when Gabe Banks scored a man down goal as the third quarter horn sounded to give the Jackets a 10-9 lead going into the fourth. The fourth quarter started with some back and forth play before the Jackets went on a late fourl goal run to seal the 14-9 victory. The Jackets must quickly retrain their focus as they play the Clemson Tigers bright and early Sunday morning.
