Matthew Krecicki Wins 2022 Innovations in Nuclear Technology R&D Award

 

Yellowjacket Lacrosse Fans remember Matt Krecicki from the 2019 and 2020 teams for his lethal outside shot and enthusiasm for the game has he contributed significantly to driving Tech to Final Four appearances.  Matt came to Tech as a graduate transfer from RPI where he received his Mechanical Engineering degree and developed a strong interest in Thermal Nuclear Propulsion for advanced space systems. Matt had taken off two years from Lacrosse at RPI while he focused on academics and had two years of eligibility which he used while pursuing his masters and his technical passion at Georgia Tech.

Matt is now a Ph.D. student in Nuclear Engineering focused on advanced propulsion reactors.  Congratulations to Matt for winning a 2022 First Place prize in the Innovations in Nuclear Technology R&D Awards sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy!
