Jackets Punch Ticket to SELC Playoffs

Georgia Tech played two region games over the weekend defeating both Alabama and Auburn.  The Jackets were able to seize control of both games early leading 6-1 and 9-1 at halftime respectively and maintained that control throughout.  Seven different players scored a goal for Tech against Alabama and nine Jackets got on the board against Auburn.  The Jackets played swarming team defense in both games lead by Brian Duffy and backstopped by Gino Pagliaro.

Next up for Tech is the annual showdown with #16 Georgia.  Georgia is undefeated in the region as well and the winner of the game will claim the SELC Southwest crown.  The game will be played at George Pierce Park in Suwanee at 1:30 on Saturday April 14.  Last year's game was hotly contested with the Jackets coming back in the fourth quarter to win.

The two wins clinched a spot on the SELC playoffs for Tech.  The quarterfinals will be played on April 20 with the semifinals and finals on the following two days.
