A much anticipated early season battle of MCLA heavy weights delivered a classic in Atlanta! The Panthers playing a methodical pace kept the Jackets under control in the first half up 5-2. The game had an MCLA tournament feel, large crowd, intense play, every ground ball contested with great passion and effort. The Panthers came out firing in the begining of the second half seeking to put the Jackets away but the defense stiffened and the Jackets tied the game up backed by a 4 goal unanswered run aand eventual took the lead in the 4th quarter! With less than 5 minutes on the clock it was Tech up 10-9. Chapman tied it up a minute later and both teams tried to end it in the last minutes but strong defense on both sides denied any opportunity to score. On to overtime, more strong defense, each team had its opportunity but the Panthers prevailed with a late OT score to get the win.
