Tech Holds off Oklahoma in Nashville

In the first ever meeting between the Georgia Tech and Oklahoma, the Jackets pulled away in the fourth quarter to win going away 12-7. With conditions less than stellar both teams battled through heavy rains all game long. Tech used two dominant quarters to earn them their second win in as many days to open the 2018 campaign. The Jackets once again had balanced scoring as eleven different players registered a point. With multiple starters out for the game many back up players picked up their absence and took advantage. Jack Darcy, Gabe Banks, Jack Maginnes, Riley Callaghan and Adrian Franzone all had multi point games for the Jackets. The defense was tested all day but held up well in the conditions and Gino Pagliaro was strong between the pipes registering nine saves on the day. The defense also got in the scoring game as Devin Knapp and Jared Gantt each netted a goal for the Jackets.

Jackets take a 7-2 lead at half time but the Sooners draw within 2 goals to make the score 9-7 before Tech scores 3 unanswered goals to secure the win.
