Jackets Roll Vanderbilt in Season Opener

The season opened with a bang with a dominating win over regional foe Vanderbilt University. The Jackets performance was highlighted with team scoring all across the board. The Jackets got points from over ten different players including four players earning their first career goal as a Jacket; Zach Schenken, Riley Callaghan, Jack Maginnes and Tyler Siefert. Leading the charge was Gabe Banks who scored four goals and one assist on the day.

On the defensive end was a group effort as they routinely turned away any threat. All the defensive players on the roster played including three goalies in a dominating showcase of team defense. Tech held an 11-0 lead at thr half and the Commodores were held scoreless until midway through the third quarter. 

The Jackets move to 1-0 on the season and more importantly earning their first region win in the Southwest Division of the SELC in convincing manner.
